THE POSITIVE:[/b]: girls, pokemon battling, pokemon training, winning, improving in skill, learning new things, knowledge, power, respect, electric and fire types, youth, exploring, making out, sex, chick flicks (PROBLEM!?), explosions, hot weather, summer time, getting what he wants, completing a tasks successfully, insulting less skilled trainers.
isaac likes to have fun, though he may make you think of him in a different way, he's a typical boy in the sense that if it's big and possibly destructive, then he wants one. He can't really help himself and he knows how much it can wind up other people. The simple fact is that, despite the show he may put on, he can be big kid at heart and you either have to take him as he is, or tell him to back the hell off. this side of him is not usually shown, when he was younger this was him, it was the base of his personality; but so much things have went on in his life that causes him to change. isaac is a member of the elite four but he's not stuck up, he actually likes to enjoy himself; whether what he's doing is good or bad and, frankly, who doesn't? People with whom he has a problem should also be warned – he finds it fun to wind them up. He’s had many years to develop his skills in irritation with his many cousins, and any of them could probably vouch for what a jerk isaac could be.
flirtatious would probably be an understatement for isaac – his outlook on romance, sex and pretty much anything to do with either is very widely open and he holds nothing back when around the opposite gender. even when in a relationship, he can't help himself and he will flirt with another girl, but he doesn't mean anything by it...i guess. he just doesn't see the problem in celebrating the body. flirting is also a bit of a defence for isaac – when he has a large problem to face, he'll make a comment on how good looking a girl is, distract them and himself while he looks for the solution. it's probably not an entirely healthy way to start a relationship, but this tactic of distraction has ended up with isaac in more than a few strange beds in the last two years. at the end of the day, though, he might flirt with another girl, but when he's in a relationship, he won't actually sleep with any other girl. for some people, that’s enough to be considered cheating, but for isaac it’s just the norm. he might leave them for someone else, but he won't play them for a fool. that's just too disrespectful, even for him. this loyalty expands into his general lifestyle too – he treasures his friends and family, only wanting them to be happy, and he sticks to his morals. his morals just happen to be a teeny tiny bit skewed.
THE NEGATIVE:
there is always going to be a good and bad side to a person, and many things in isaac's life lead him to portray his bad side rather than his good. Fred is, frankly, rather more like his mother than his father or his namesake. isaac is pretty quick to jump to conclusions and to do almost anything. impulsive might be a nicer way of putting it, but the word describes so much more than his tendency to just jump into things head first without thinking about it. the fact of the matter is, the boy has no tact. much like so many members of his family before him, the concept of things having a time and a place are somewhat alien to him, and as such he often offends people; sometimes by accident but usally not. if he thinks of something that needs to be said, he'll say it regardless of his current audience, which has led to some embarrassing situations for himself and others by this point. he isn’t adverse to cheating or underhanded tactics either, even if they make him feel a little guilty (not). but hey, he wants to beat his rivals and he’ll do whatever he has to. overally proud and ambitious in nature.
to say isaac is short tempered would definately not be enough; he has a quick and fiery temper that burns long. it doesn’t take much to set him off – a slight insult to his family, generally provoking him – and he’ll be ready to battle. isaac can also be a sarcastic little wise ass when he wants to be, but this comes out most frequently when angry. possibly the worst thing about his temper is that he takes it out on absolutely everyone, related to the incident or not. scathing comments and being shunned are everyday parts of being affiliated with isaac, but he does manage to rein it in and unleash it on his target after a while. he usually takes out out when training his pokemon. but just give him time to cool down. make it a long time, though.
isaac is a hard-headed individual at times, and when he gets an idea into his head, it can be pretty damn tough to get back out. he is both stubborn and determined, always wanting to see his plans through to the end – a noble thing to desire, but it can surely end up being more dangerous than not, and with his reputation for leaping without looking, that happens more often than anyone would like. however, he trusts his gut instincts, having learned over the years that they truly are a good and reliable source of information, and it takes a lot to sway him from his position on most matters, although not impossible with the right kind of persuasion.
DISLIKES: fear, tiny bug pokemon, losing, making mistakes, herbal tea, old people, rejection, being lied too, getting lost, cold weather, rain, rules, limitations, others better than him.
HOBBIES: training, battling, drinking (alcohol), dating, (missions for TR) secretly, chillin'
FEARS: needles, death, being in a closed place for a long period of time.
