☇ TRAINER CLASSES GENERAL CLASSIFICATIONS
the only class (at the moment) found in johto is the trainer class. just like in the games, there are several sub-classes that describe the trainer, their general personality, and the pokemon they are likely to raise.
here's a list of a few of the trainer classes -

☇ GYM LEADER CLASS THE ELITE LEADERS OF THE JOHTO REGION
there are eight gym leaders around johto, each specializing in a type different than the others. in order for trainers to compete in the pokemon league for the title of 'champion' they need to challenge and beat each of the eight gym leaders.
when defeated, the gym leader must surrender an official pokemon league badge to the challenger. gym leaders are often found in their gym or their hometown; however, gym leaders will sometimes take a break and visit other leaders or friends in other towns or cities, leaving the gym closed for a day or so.

☇ THE ELITE FOUR THE TOP FIVE TRAINERS IN THE REGION
once a trainer has acquired all eight gym badges of the region, they are qualified to travel down victory road and make their way to the pokemon league where they will be able to challenge the elite four. this challenge, however, is unlike any other - a trainer must face off against all of the elite four in a row, and after defeating the fourth member, moves on to battle the champion. There are no breaks during the challenge, not even for going to the pokemon center to heal up. any trainer who successfully beats all of the elite four takes the previous champion's place.
