[/b]: Pointless adventures, explorations (the sexual ones are usually the best), coffee and other caffeinated beverages, staying up late, running on adrenaline rushes, winning battles against pathetically out-skilled trainers, nice people, rescuing pretty damsels in distress, long-standing relationships with said damsel in distress (who is - hopefully - not in so much distress anymore), having the weekend off, getting payed for anything (just so it's legal), trainers who specialize in Ground-Type Pokemon, video games, and other childish games.THE POSITIVE: Robin Lovett is what some people call adventurous. He's definitely a guy with a sense of adventure - and a lack of common sense, as well (but we'll get into that later). Robin spends a grand portion of his time using his over-active imagination to come up with grand schemes and brilliant plans on how to save the world, rescue the damsel in distress... yadda, yadda, yadda... He's the guy who's always out there, rain or shine, curiously sniffing out clues to piece together in his latest mystery. While most of it is in his head, Robin will take just about any excuse to escape the confines of the Olivine Gym and go out into the world to explore.
He isn't a passive person at all; he'll stand up for whatever his beliefs are, whether they're right or wrong. Robin is the protective type; to the point where it can be rather sickly to see. Outwardly, he can come across as a bit of a mess - what with his brash sense of humor, and everything - but he's a surprisingly corny guy when he's "in the moment". Robin's usual speech patterns include a variety of vulgarities and colorful phrases, but he does have his moments where he can be rather deep. Sadly, that's a pretty rare commodity; it certainly doesn't happen often.
Robin is a very self-confident person; the type of guy you would envy for always being so sure of himself. He holds his head high and doesn't let negative words bother him. Like everything else in his life, Robin turns all traces of self-loathing into conquests to triumph over, and encourages others to do the same. While his usual childish antics may be rather annoying at times, Robin makes a great shoulder to cry on - though don't expect him to be sincere the whole time.
While most adults aren't generally hyperactive, Robin isn't the run-of-the-mill adult. He enjoys a fair amount of fun and games, especially during his gym battles. There's no shame in taunting the opponent into submission. At least, not from Robin's point of view. He is quite proud of his position, and though he doesn't take it seriously at all, he is not at all opposed to torturous mind games; actually, he's a bit too fond of them.
THE NEGATIVE: Though he's now twenty years old - far too old to lightly excuse his lack of maturity - Robin is unusually childish. While he has the looks and appearance of an adult male, his brain never made it that far. Certainly, he's not an idiot; however, the immature jokes and perverse humor make it rather difficult to believe Robin is well over fifteen years old.
Similar to the average teenage boy, Robin has his moments of pure energy. He is unusually hyperactive, which frequently impares his ability to concentrate hard on anything at a given time. He's big on procrastination, lots of it, too, before getting any important work done. Unfortunately, that usually means Robin has to 'suffer the consequences' later, but when he's in the moment, he's all for the deed.
Vanity - any teenage or young adult male with a sense of self-confidence as striking as Robin's usually presents a rather large amount of vanity. Robin is no different. He may not be excessively vain, but his level of self-obsession can come to be rather high. Robin's vanity usually presents itself when he's provoked by others, or when he's looking into a reflective object. However, he lacks the narcissistic edge that would make him nothing more than a cold, vain bastard. No, as far as anyone can tell, Robin's ego is still well in the norm.
Robin is a very blunt person. Although he enjoys teasing and manipulating during gym battles, and he's quite the charmer, he finds no reason to hide his feelings or emotions - or even his words. Robin is the last person to care about what other people think of him, and so he acts out in ways most people know not to. He may be straightforward and honest, but he's not above stating the obvious or speaking when not advised. This also makes Robin a shit liar. Somehow when he's forced to lie, Robin's outward motions and mindless word choice have him figured out no later than the second the lie leaves his mouth. Similar to a young child, Robin attempts to avoid lying by coming up with false truths - or, more simply, phrases that either change the track of the conversation without straying too far from the subject or answers that don't technically involve lying at all.
Although his personality is overly energetic and lively, Robin is actually a pretty lackadaisical person. To put it simply, he's lazy. Robin is hyperactive and enthusiastic about getting out and exploring, sure, but life at home usually leaves the gym leader lethargic and weary. When weather permits, Robin can most typically be found outside exploring, that's a given; but when it's cold or rainy, or he's not 'in the mood', Robin's primary instinct is to stay home and lounge around half naked on his couch, watching children's cartoons. Beyond that, Robin will take any shortcut he can to get where he's going, both physically and mentally; he's also, sadly, quite unmotivated. The one thing that can snap the man from a bout of laziness is a challenge of any kind, from a gym battle to a simple race; his desire to win prevails over his laziness and procrastination any day.
DISLIKES: tests, seriousness, growing up, the people who think he's too childish (what? no way!), Water- and Grass-Type Pokemon, losing a gym battle (and badge - and TM), being forced to do anything, that groggy after waking up, going to hospitals (he'd rather die, thank you very much), being told what to do, pressure, cowards, inclosed spaces, sitting for a long time, no caffeine, and other things most little children hate (such as healthy foods and vegetables).
HOBBIES: attempting to cook, Pokemon battles, playing mind games with challengers, going on adventures, acting like a child.
FEARS: Going to sleep and never waking up, and having to grow up and forever be a serious adult.
