THE POSITIVE:

Yuuto is one of those people who would try to find the bright side of the most dim situations. Even during a near-death experience, he would stay enthusiastic and try (key word 'try') to keep those from panicking. You can pretty much say he fails miserably at it though. But hey, at least that crooked smile stays plastered on his face whenever he's around other people. If anybody has a problem with that, pfff.. They can deal with it themselves. Don't judge a book by its cover though. Even with that smile that may come off creepy to some others, Yuuto has a much more tender and caring side beneath his outer shell. Friends and even his Pokemon are all treated like his family due to his fear of losing the people that have entered his life, regardless of how long he's known them for. He's not an easy person to anger easily as well, having a piece of self-control in him which would be proven useful during the heat of battle.

Tables turning on him won't stop a hard-worker like Yuuto. His strong commitment to accomplish a certain task has proved to others of his strong will as well as his recklessness, but of course he's not going to let any criticism to stop him. Losing a battle definitely won't change that about him, since Yuuto's good sportsmanship has only driven him to work himself and his Pokemon twice as harder as well as enjoying a good battle rather than dealing with someone who'd throw a tantrum if they lost. Although he may extend a hand to those in need without hesitation, it's strange how he wouldn't accept help from others. He is a strong independent type of person and loathes depending on other people for help in any kind of way because it would make him feel like others are looking down on him and his dependence on others.

Despite his bright demeanor, some may not believe Yuuto actually has a more serious side that's rarely seen unless he's aggravated to the core. The most prominent moments would be any of his family, friends or Pokemon being harmed outside a battle.

THE NEGATIVE: Apparently, his more caring side usually gets the better of him, causing him to be a bit overprotective which may get on people and his Pokemon's nerves...sometimes. Well, you can't really blame him. The poor guy is paranoid of losing anybody precious to him. Thanks to Yuuto's optimistic persona however, it's led him to acting a bit immature and sometimes perverted. It's not like he's an actual pervert or anything, he just pulls a lot of immature perverted jokes. Many of which consist of taking words the wrong way or finishing sentences with a good old 'that's what she said.' His brighter persona is also the reason why many would think he's eccentric and consider him a neanderthal of some sorts..Again, don't blame the poor guy for trying to find the brighter side of things almost every time. Yuuto's most noticeable trait is his obvious self-consciousness around women. Is his hair okay? Is his fly zipped up? Does he have anything on his face?! Yes they're pretty, compassionate and all... but for some reason, Yuuto acts like an embarrassed child and often turns red/pink whenever he's close to one. Stuttering when in their presence. Or better yet, trying not to. Let's not forget clumsy which is translated to him trying a bit too hard to look good in front of them.

His overprotective nature has led him to become reckless when the time calls for it. He's often a target for criticism for being stupid or a headstrong fool, but it's not like he's going to let a few words change his ways. Conveying emotions to others besides happiness and humor isn't very comfortable for him. Yuuto is extremely conservative of his feelings and would often keep to himself so he wouldn't bring others down with his personal problems.

[/b]: First and foremost, Pokemon. Whether they be good or bad-natured types, it wouldn't change the fact that Yuuto would treat them as though they've been apart of his team the entire time. Mistreatment and abuse of any kind would obviously aggravate him easily, adding to the more serious side of him. But hey, whatever you do, don't mess with his hat. The red and white-patterned cap would be the teddy bear to a young child to him. Mess with it and his self-control would be broken and his bubble will pop. Of course he also likes good, fair and enjoyable battles. Ones where his opponent wouldn't let him win on purpose. Let's not forget training his trusty team to become the very best. LOL, POKEMON SONG REFERENCE?! There's a few out there that find seafood disgusting and plain nasty, Yuuto's obsessive over it. More specifically, sushi. You can't go wrong with sushi. Even so, Yuuto's an easy eater. He'll basically eat anything edible that tastes good and doesn't poison him. Many would consider him a freak, but he's a hardcore fan of B-rated gore/horror films. Don't get him wrong, some of them are just so horrible that they're more like a good old comedy rather than a bloody scary.

Afternoon naps are the shiz. Lounging around on something comfortable like grass and allowing the light breezes the wind offers lul him to sleep... Until a person strolls by and wakes him up from falling asleep right in the middle of the path.

DISLIKES: No, he's not a sexist, but he doesn't really feel comfortable being around girls... They just make him look really embarrassing :C. Cheaters are never appreciated by him. He often sees them as cowards who are too afraid to battle according to their real strength. In all honesty, Yuuto finds no satisfaction out of cheating considering it's pointless to him. Let's not forget the annoying egotistical people that think they're cool by talking big and showing off. The ones who touch his hat without his permission aren't cool either. For goodness sake, it's his hat. His deity. That's actually a bit over-exaggerated, but you get the idea. And of course, the infamous Team Rocket, the ones who steal Pokemon for their own selfish needs. Although he's never actually met one, he's heard about them and their dirty doings. Boy, he definitely doesn't want to meet any of them. If they ever even thought about touching his Pokemon, they'd better think again.

Those guys that think they're cool by sulking in a corner? Yup, those are the guys Yuuto definitely dislikes. It's a mystery to him as to how girls are attracted to guys like that. He's also not a big fan of bad sportsmanship, although the tantrums some of his opponents throw are a bit humorous to watch, secretly.

HOBBIES: Sleeping, eating, training, battling, hanging out with his friends, meeting new people, catching new Pokemon, traveling, relaxing and shopping for hats.

FEARS: Losing the ones important to him, spiders, making himself look like an idiot in front of girls, creepy ghost stories and Jinxes. (Okay, he cares about all Pokemon... but Jinxes just give him the heeby jeebies just by looking at them...)

[/b]: Yuuto's starter and the one he has the closest relationship with. Being apart of Yuuto's team since he was a wee Tododile, it's no surprise the two are like best friends. He even shares a similar trait to his Trainer; clumsiness. Battles will never end without Ryota ending up breaking something in his wake... but if nothing doesn't then Ryota can consider him on lucky Pokemon for not getting Yuuto's butt in trouble again. [/b]: Despite the amount of time they've been traveling together, Yuuto's been having trouble trying to develop a solid friendship with Muramasa. Because of his quiet demeanor and preference to isolate himself from the rest of the group, it's no surprise Yuuto's having some difficulty. His overall appearance emits a silent sense of strength and intimidation, which could lead to awkward silences between the two. Of course Muramasa cares about his trainer's well-being since he's the younger brother of his previous owner. But it's not like he's really compelled to care. That thick head of his holds a lot of stubbornness and has a lot of trouble conveying any signs of emotions. [/ul][/justify]


NICKNAME: Shinkiro.

MOVESET: Psychic, Energy Ball, Thunder Wave, Reflect.

[/b]: A Kadabra that's obsessed with his spoon, just as much as Yuuto is obsessed with his hat. Also a prankster at heart, even after its evolved from its predecessor form, Abra. He's usually the ones pulling gags on Yuuto and the rest of the team, whether it be abusing the move Psychic or scaring the crap out of them with his creepy spoon bending. Still, Yuuto and Shinkiro are on good terms and have remained great friends since the day he was a mere Abra. [/justify][/ul]


NICKNAME: Kaen.
LEVEL: Thirty-three.
MOVESET: Flamethrower, Crunch, Beat Up, Torment.

[/b]: Kaen was initially an aggressive Houndour, prior to meeting Yuuto. The poor pup had accidentally wandered off from its pack and was definitely not in a hurry to join Yuuto's team. Though after a battle ending with Kaen's over-confidence getting in the way, he was captured and eventually evolved into a Houndoom. By now, he's developed an unusual bond with Yuuto after training and spending time with him. Though he does occasionally pout or throw a small fit if he doesn't get what he wants..[/justify][/ul]


NICKNAME: Sora.
LEVEL: Thirty.
MOVESET: Quick Attack, Fly, Twister, FeatherDance.

[/b]: Taken in by Yuuto when she was a mere Pidgey, lying in the middle of a forest with an injured wing. The two of them clicked immediately thanks to Sora's compassionate nature. She works more as the self-proclaimed 'mother' of the party and is one of the Pokemon that has grown close to Yuuto, similar to him and Ryota's relationship. However, she has a tendency to show off her beauty at random spurs. [/justify][/ul]


NICKNAME: Aoi.
LEVEL: Twenty.
MOVESET: Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Poison Powder, Cut.

[/b]: Yuuto's most recent catch. A shy oddish with a heart of gold, Aoi's the type that has the potential to become strong, but her hesitation and dislike against fighting hinders her from doing so. She prefers to settle things in a non-violent manner and often hides behind the closest objects she can find (Yuuto) when she's afraid. Though shy around other Pokemon, she is much more open around Yuuto. [/justify][/ul]
