THE POSITIVE: Kokoro is a good girl. She does her best to obey her father as well as listens to her older brothers. It never crosses her mind to directly disobey them, but it happens on occasion; usually because she’s rather afraid or something or someone. But she is happy to take responsibility when directed even though she’s all of nine years old. Cooking dinner or hanging laundry is all fair game for the little girl if told so. Then again, so is sitting still and being dressed up like a doll. She simply likes to make others happy. To have others smiling makes the tiny young girl smile.[/b]: Kokoro lives for being praised. She likes a gentle pat on the head or to be told what a good girl she is. The girl doesn’t need approval, but she’s constantly striving for positive reinforcement. On the hand, she absolutely loves her family and puts them before anything else. For someone who likes to be a princess and play tea party, she surprisingly not selfish. Every girl just wants to be a princess, and Strike looks happy when she’s in big dresses and tiaras. As for tea parties, they’re just too fun not to enjoy. They make her feel especially grown-up. Hoshiro’s cooking is also really good because he big brother is a good cook. He says he only cookies for the ladies, and she’s lucky because she’s a very special lady. Her favorite thing is when Hoshiro makes cookies! What young lady doesn’t love it when her big brother makes awesome, gooey cookies!
Though Kokoro has a bit of a fear of strangers thanks to her overprotective family, she is a bit of a bleeding heart. She would love to be that person always offering a helping hand, but her father did a good job of installing a bit of fear into her. Strike’s obsessive fangirls also keeps her away from new people because she can’t be too sure if they’ll nearly kill her to get close to her brother. It also made everything her father told her true. But if the person is slightly familiar and needs a helping hand, Kokoro is there! Though, if it involves a pokemon, she’s there in spirit since she likes to keep a nice twenty feet distance from them.
Above anything else, Kokoro is cute. She is a cute little girl, with a cute personality, and does cute things. She says her name instead of I and makes a cute ko~ sound at the end of her sentences; though she doesn’t do it consciously because it’s cute. She also has a bit of a stuttering problem, but her mother convinced her that stuttering her own name would keep anyone from teasing her. Sadly, the ko~ enbding seemed to be a side effect. She does like to keep a stuffed animal with her at all times to help brave though the day since Strike and Hoshiro can’t always be around, whether it’s because of their positions or because they’re playing with their pokemon.
THE NEGATIVE: Kokoro is extremely shy. Her father always warned her nothing good would ever come from strangers. Stranger pokemon trainers always had something to prove, thus they always challenged other trainers. Though her xenophobia is more linked to girls without pokemon that were in love with her brother. Trying to stop a horde of screaming fan girls while being under four feet doesn’t work out well. It left the tiny girl getting crushed by the group and forever scared of large groups of people. She doesn’t care for screaming people either; indoor voices at all times, please.
The youngest Kotori strongly dislikes pokemon. One of the reasons behind her dislike for the most popular creatures in the world is because they steal attention of her beloved family away from her. While she isn’t as close to Strike’s need to be the center of attention, young girls like Kokoro become an attention-whore because they start to feel ignored. Crying helps get her family back on her side. But while she can’t make herself cry on command, she is a big crybaby. Tears will start to swell into her eyes if she’s teased for too long, faces any type of pain, or just feels too lonely.
She is a pretty big scaredy cat when it comes to a lot of things. Pokemon aren’t just family stealers, they’re pretty strong and scary monsters. She’s been attacked, abused, and just traumatized by all types of pokemon to the point of not liking them. But pokemon aren’t the only thing to fear. Since xenophobia covers strangers, there’s also spiders, ghosts, power outages, hospitals, needles, lightning storms, and all type of other things to be scared of. And while might be a minute or two of a good brave front, Kokoro is pretty quick to run and start crying when she’s scared.
DISLIKES: Kokoro dislikes being teased though it seems to happen a lot to the girl. People play jokes on her since she’s easy to fool. She was taught to believe others, so she sometimes ends up playing to fool. She doesn’t like to be told she’s young since she likes to believe being so responsible makes her older. She has to replace her mother by being the only girl in the house, so she can’t be a kid. She has to be a big girl that plays with Strike in dresses and has tea parties because her mother used to do that with her. With her massive fears and few moments of loneliness, she developed an extreme dislike for pokemon. Hoshiro goes wandering off with his pokemon instead of playing with her, and now that Striker’s a gym leader, he doesn’t play with her as much. In less extremes, Kokoro’s not fond of hard candies since they hurt to bite and she doesn’t like having to suck on them for long periods. She doesn’t appreciate rainy days either since she can’t go outside and do some of her favorite things.
HOBBIES: Kokoro’s hobbies include coloring pictures, picking flowers to give Strike, being Strike’s dress up doll, talking to herself, and stalking her brothers. At Kokoro’s age, it’s normal for a child to like to color in coloring books. She doesn’t have great artistic talents, but her mother believed in the arts so she always praised Kokoro on her coloring book skills. She finds herself doing it quite often when left alone. Strike is closer to age with Kokoro than Hoshiro, thus he was around her more. Strike was less manly than her other brother, thus he appreciated playing with her and receiving gifts like flowers she picked, or wreaths made from said flowers. She also was all too happy to dress up in any way her big brother wanted since he always knew best and would call her cute after making her up. Though, because sometimes her family becomes a bit pokemon crazed, she avoids them and starts talking to herself to keep herself company. Holding a conversation with her favorite stuffed animal isn’t weird at all! And while she might be the youngest, Kokoro wants to be the woman of the house thus she feels she must watch over her brothers. Getting trampled by Strike fans is just another labor of love she must endure even though it’s extremely scary. And trying to stare down a person that wants to challenge Hoshiro is extremely hard when they pull out pokemon. It’s like they were tipped off on how to instantly defeat her.
FEARS: Kokoro’s greatest fear is pokemon. She’s had several traumatic experiences over the years with pokemon, including a Jinx trying to kill her with hugging her too tightly, a Pigeoto trying to carry her away, and a cute little eeve biting her. She doesn’t even liked the tamed pokemon that belong to her older brothers like Chime and Koryu. Her second greatest fear is not being liked by her family since she trusts them the most. After her mother died, she quickly realized how easy it is to lose people she loved. While she’s not obsessing they will die, she could lose them easily if she did something to displease them. Her mother loved her, but before she died she teased Kokoro by saying she preferred her Pikachu over her daughter.
