PATIENT && INTELLIGENTpatience is a virtue, as they say. rezzy, meticulous as he is, despises the possibility of something as simple and silly as impatience ruining his plans. consequently, he honed his patience to the point of being able to wait, completely still and unmoving, for hours on end if necessary. perhaps even days, but that would impede on his body's natural need for water and food. patience has also allowed him to procure a great deal of knowledge, attained by his travels as a child. consequently, he knows how to counter many things and simply knows information like it's been repeated to him unrelentingly. if you were to stick him into any class and give him a written test on important facts, he'd ace it. with flying colors. being patient pays off trust it -- without patience, rezzy as hot headed as he is would have already given up on pokemon training.
ANALYTICAL && 0BSERVANTrezzy can be quite the analyst. he looks at everything carefully, constantly scouring his surroundings with his sharp eyes. very rarely does the boy overlook something, and if he does, it's usually a calculated risk made for a particular reason. little details don't go missed. he's paranoid enough to check over things repeatedly. the flaw about this paranoia is that, strangely enough, rezzy can never keep himself completely balanced. it's hard for him to keep down the paranoia sometimes to relax, and occasionally, it fluctuates. while he rarely ever lets his guard down, sometimes his gaze is more fleeting, where as other times his gaze may be too intensive, to the point of wasting time.
PRACTICAL && REALISTICmany trainers have fallen to the sin of pride, and with good reason. having learned from this in his younger years, rezzy takes care to refrain from getting a swelled head or an ego. nothing is worse than losing to another trainer because of something as silly as...pride. dignity will not save anyone in the real world. defending your honor in the face of a merciless trainer that could wipe the floor with you ten times over will not save you. rezzy knows this, hence his modesty. he keeps himself unassuming and modest, all to make other trainers, whether older or younger, underestimate him. it's always nice to have an unfair advantage over the opposition -- it could mean everything. however, he isn't modest to the point of doubting himself, as doubt is easily as dangerous as pride, since they both lie on each end of the spectrum. again, it's a matter of balance. rezzy stays practical and tries to understand exactly how situations are, no matter how gruesome. to ensure this, in regards to his skills, he maintains an unbiased outlook to make sure he knows exactly how good he is. often, he will select skilled trainers that may be far better than him in order to make comparisons and see where he stands in, well, comparison.
THE NEGATIVE:
ARTFUL && CUNNINGone could say that rezzy is a cunning bastard. it's not that he's heartless; not at all, but he is amoral to the extent of being able to carry out plans without guilt impeding on his consciousness. being a genius in his own right, the male is able to employ underhanded tricks and schemes to attain what he wants. as they say, the end justifies the means. He doesn't care how he has to go about with getting something, so long as he obtains it in the end. consequently, rezzy knows how to lie, beguile, mislead, charm -- the works -- and do it well, like a professional. if it's possible, rezzy is probably capable of it. if it's impossible, rezzy's probably still capable of it. even if it means plastering a warm smile on his face and pretending he cares. simply put, he knows how to use people and manipulate them effectively to achieve his goals. As a puppeteer in a way, he's quite capable of screwing with people and bending them to his will, no matter what methods he has to use.
EASILY BOREDone of his most prominent personality traits. the elite four member - self proclaimed phenom (so much for not being over confident) is often fueled by his boredom and lack of interesting things to do. certainly, there is the idea of improving his craft and all sharpening all of his skills, but what is there to do outside of that? he's constantly in search for things that will keep him stimulated and amused. those things always change, however, which keeps him constantly on the move and rarely in the same place for an extended period of time, lest he grow bored. Occasionally, he may stay in the same place for a long time if it does happen to capture his interest and entertain him well enough (usually sexy females). In that case, he's more likely to take on a fake identity, assimilate in, and then fake his death when he grows bored. he tends to do that a lot. especially the 'faking his death' bit. it does wonders to throw people off his trail, and it's always good brain exercise to think of increasingly ingenious ways of deceiving people with unusual, explosive, interesting, or devastating 'deaths'.
TOO CURIOUSbeing the type who is fueled by boredom, by extension, rezzy is curious. actually, his unparalleled sense of curiosity drives him far more than his boredom does. however, the two traits come essentially hand-in-hand. the curiosity, though, is often more prevalent. often times, while rezzy may maintain a neutral, blank expression on his face and keep his body language completely unreadable, his curiosity shows up in his eyes. no matter what he does, he simply cannot quench his sense of inquisitiveness, and, unless rezzy purposely takes care to smooth all of his features emotionless, it shows up. the young male is constantly on the hunt for information -- anything interesting that will add to his written and mental collection of information. many of his skills, talents, and other personality traits play in with this hopeless sense of curiosity. the most likely thing he'll be tempted by is offers of information. in this particular trainer's mind, nearly nothing is more important than information, knowledge.
