THE POSITIVE: jakob is a very cool, calculating person. he's a genius in the making - a grand strategist. he's amazing when it comes to pokemon types and what they're strong and weak against. before he became a trainer, when he was a little kid, he went to the pokemon academy in violet city to learn everything there was to know about pokemon. however, unlike most children who attended the pokemon academy, jakob made a point to remember all of his studies, even ten years later. jakob's photographic memory is superb.

somewhere deep down in his heart, jakob is a sweet, innocent teenager who loves having a bit of fun. sadly, he's shut that part out of his brain completely. his ambition is to be the strongest pokemon trainer in the world, and refuses to listen to anyone who is weaker than him. unfortunately, that's most people.

however rude and focused jakob may be on pokemon training, there's one thing he can't escape: social acceptance. despite the fact that he's incredibly sarcastic and has an intense superiority complex, he is rather friendly with most people, and doesn't find it the least bit strange to talk with other people about anything at all - even though most people would consider a nerd like him to be rather closed off and awkward. he's also rather good with the ladies, though he finds dating (or getting his 'freak' on) to be a huge waste of his time. he can be rather seductive when he has to be.

THE NEGATIVE: jakob is rather rude and sarcastic. he dislikes having any ties with other people due to to his past with his best friend. though his best friend has long since been out of his life, jakob never seems to forget about the other boy. due to that, jakob's rude, obnoxious personality has been even worse since the two of them separated. he can be rather tough to be around at times, and hard to control, especially by his boss.

although jakob is a part of team rocket, he doesn't believe in the same ideas as the rest of team rocket - rather; he is merely in it to win it - more simply: jakob has no feelings for whether team rocket gains control of the johto region or not - they pay him a fine amount of money to create schematics, strategies, and keep a careful watch on the elite four. he also holds a certain amount of respect for the team rocket leader who is older, wiser, and stronger than he is.

jakob also has a slight (huge) superiority complex - he has to be the strongest trainer and there's no one who can stop him! he can be a bit of a grump when people don't treat him as a champion - or even when his mother treats him too much like a champion. jakob tends to break down and get upset whenever he suffers the loss of a huge battle. while sad and childish as that is, he can't help it, he's a natural born winner, everyone should know that.

[/b]: paxx was jake's first pokemon. not his starter, but his first pokemon, although he didn't capture it until after he received his starter. paxx followed him around for several months while he ran away from home in violet city, at first to laugh at jakob's misfortune - but soon enough they became inseparable. though paxx is well over the level-limit of a normal pikachu, jake doesn't feel any real need to evolve the little mouse.[/ul]

MOVESET: flamethrower - dragon pulse - arialace - solarbeam

[/b]: xen on the outside is a big tough pokemon, but on the inside, he's just a little puppy. he's rather playful and one of jakob's most valuable pokemon considering got the arcanine from one of his closest childhood friends as a present. feeling guilty from taking the then-growlithe from his buddy, jakob gave him his charmeleon in return. xen reminds jakob of his relationship with the other boy, though they've long since lost connection. [/ul]


NICKNAME: exi
LEVEL: sixty five
MOVESET: psychic - bite - swift - future sight

[/b]: exi is one of jakob's most loyal pokemon. he can be harsh at times, especially to her, when he's training, but she never fails him in battle. exi's attack and speed were built up since she was a baby eevee and though the road was rocky, she loves jakob more than anything. [/ul]

LEVEL: sixty seven
MOVESET: dragon rush - outrage - draco meteor - flamethrower

[/b]: dex is one of jakob's newer pokemon. he's definitely one of the strongest, but the amount of trust jakob puts into the dragon-type is limited. he met dex in the dragon's den when he went through blackthorn city to get his eighth and final gym badge a few years back. dex is not only one of jake's newest pokemon, he's also the most recently evolved.[/ul]


NICKNAME: xar
LEVEL: sixty five
MOVESET: hydro cannon - waterfall - ice beam - brine

[/b]: despite what most people believe, xar was not jakob's starter pokemon. after losing his starter (he gave it away to his best friend), he began feeling like his team wasn't as good as it was before. he trained harder and faster than ever, a young squirtle watching him the entire time. the squirtle belonged to another trainer at the time, however was unhappy. seeing that paxx got along so well with the squirtle, jakob decided to take the squirtle with him and train him. the owner never knew what happened to their pokemon.[/ul]


NICKNAME: tex
LEVEL: sixty four
MOVESET: ice fang - crunch - earthquake - surf

[/b]: jake caught tex as a baby when it was lost and hurt. he took the poor pokemon to a pokemon center to heal it. he planned to release it into the wild once again, but the poor larvitar came to believe jakob was it's mommy, and became too clingy. after that, jakob refused to let the little rock pokemon out of his site (or his side in it's pokeball). over the years, tex grew from being a cute little baby with a need for his "mommy's" attention to a big strong tyranitar. even still, however, tex will cuddle jakob in a way one would love their parent.
