professor elm is a pokemon professor and researcher who studies pokemon evolution. he gets a little focused in his work, and can go for days in his lab without contact from the outside world. brand new pokemon trainers who come to professor elm's lab will get a choice of three beginning pokemon: chikorita, cyndaquil, and totodile, as well as a few handy trainer items.
